The direct answer
Potentially, yes. A Common Mark Certificate supports certain marks without a registered trademark, but the issuer still validates the organisation, domain and mark.
Does a new logo qualify immediately?
Do not assume so. Sectigo’s published eligibility guidance asks for at least 12 months of public use for its CMC prior-use route. Ask your chosen issuer which evidence it accepts and whether your particular logo meets its rules.
Prepare the final artwork and evidence of its history before submitting an application. If the mark was recently redesigned, explain the change rather than assuming evidence for an earlier design will be sufficient.
What should I decide next?
Confirm the certificate type accepted by your target inboxes and the display outcome you want. A CMC and a VMC are different products, and the Gmail checkmark distinction may affect that decision.
Then request an eligibility review or a clear checklist from the issuer. Buying before resolving eligibility can create cost and delay without bringing the launch closer.
