The direct answer
Do not plan on universal Outlook BIMI display. The BIMI Group’s provider chart lists Microsoft as not supporting BIMI, but that chart is dated May 2025 and is not a test of every current Outlook environment.
What does an Outlook logo prove?
A visible sender image alone does not identify how it was supplied. Account, directory or contact information may also create imagery in an email interface. First distinguish the application being used from the service hosting the recipient’s mailbox.
Keep a screenshot’s account and application context with it. “It appeared in Outlook” is too broad to establish receiver support or to diagnose a missing logo elsewhere.
How should I plan for Microsoft recipients?
Check current Microsoft documentation and provider support information before using Outlook coverage in a business case. Where support is unconfirmed, mark that audience as unverified rather than promising display.
Continue ordinary authentication and email-branding work regardless. A BIMI deployment aimed at other supported inboxes can coexist with signatures and profile imagery, but those are separate mechanisms and should have separate acceptance tests.
